This 5 x 10 Utility / Motorcycle / ATV Trailer is constructed using 2x2x1/4" square tubing, including the crossmembers. Most trailer production companies use angle and thin steel to construct the frame, just to save money, but charge the customer for a heavy duty trailer. This trailer includes a 3,500 lb. straight Dexter Axle, equipped with idler 5 on 4-1/2" hubs, with leaf spring suspension, 15" wheels, and a heavy duty attaching parts kit and U-bolt set. We added a 4' drop tailgate, reinforced with 1/8" tubing vertical supports. You will notice most production trailers use angle for the vertical supports as well ... another way you can see the difference between a heavy duty custom built trailer and a cheaply made production trailer built for fast production. We have equipped this trailer with D.O.T. approved LED lights for maximum brightness and longer lasting lights, unlike cheap bulb lights. Attached to the A-frame, is a 5,000 lb. 2" coupler, and 3/8" safety chain.
